Easter Fun!

We started our Easter fun with coloring Easter eggs with the boys. This year they picked out a dinosaur egg kit. We put together little dinosaurs for the eggs to sit in.  

We headed over to Emery county Friday to spend Easter weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Scow. We went out to eat at a place in Ferron called The Gub Box.

 I hadn't been in Ferron in a long time and it was fun to remember the good old days. I went to Jr. High in Ferron and when it was my Birthday my Mom would drive over and take me and my friends out to lunch at The Gub Box.

After dinner we hiked out to some Indian writings near Ferron. It was a fun little hike and the Indian writings were pretty neat. The boys had fun climbing on the rocks and finding places that they thought looked like Indian houses.

Saturday morning the Easter bunny came. The boy were so excited, they make Easter so much fun. Kellen got some baseball stuff to get him ready for tee ball, Karson got some new boots, and Korbin got some clothes and of course they all got candy. It was such a nice morning we let them go find the Easter eggs the Easter bunny hid in their PJs.

We headed out to the desert and went exploring. When we took the boys to see a dinosaur foot track, Kellen said that we needed to find more dinosaur foot tracks, so we could follow the dinosaur. 

When we went to the wedge the boys got scared when the saw how far down the canyon went. It is such a beautiful place. It had been forever since I had been out there. I loved it!

My Mom and Dad had pulled the trailer out to the desert earlier in the week to get a good camping spot. It was a great spot for the kids to run around and explore. Kellen and Karson shot a gun for the first time. Karson was a little trigger happy, but both the boys loved shooting the gun. My Mom set up a Easter egg hunt for the kids, they had a ball looking for the eggs in the rocks and hills. 

We went out to mushroom rock where we had many picnics when I was a kid, it was fun to watch the boys climb and have fun at a place where I have memories doing the same thing as a kid. From there we hiked out to the "little goblin valley." Such a fun and beautiful place. We all had a wonderful time. Going out on the desert for Easter is something we want to start doing every year, if the weather is good. I love making memories with my family.
