Lamb Days

Kellen had talk about doing the lamb scam run for Lamb Day this year, but wasn't sure if he wanted to. I didn't think he was going to do it, but when Kaecee decided she was going to do it Kellen wanted to do it with her. He was kind of nervous about it and wanted his Dad to do the race with him. Trevor had played the midnight game in the men's softball tournament the night before and had to get up and get the fields ready in the morning before Kellen's race, but he was there to do the race with him. He is such a good Daddy. I wanted to come watch, but Korbin and Karson were sleeping still and I knew they had a big day ahead of them, so I wanted them to get their sleep. Kellen and Kaecee did awesome they took first in boys and girls in their age group. They ran a mile in 9 minutes and 19 seconds. Which I thought was pretty good for 4 year olds. Kellen sure is proud of his ribbon and his running shirt. I am glad he did the race.
Grandma and Grandpa Scow came over to go to the parade with me and the boys and do the kids games with us, while Trevor plays in the men's softball tournament. I love that they come over, we have so much fun together. Trevor's team took 1st place this year again. We are happy for him, he loves to play.
In the evening when it was time for the co-ed softball tournament Trevor played in, Kellen, Karson, and Katy went and got their faces painted. Kellen and Karson had fun pretending they were super heroes.

Rodeo

We had the boys all dressed up in their cowboy boots and cowboy shirts for the rodeo. They sure looked handsome! We got there a little early so the boys could go do rides at the fair next to the rodeo grounds. It was raining when we got there...and it didn't stop raining. The boys could careless that it was raining they were having fun on the rides and it made it even more fun that Kellen's friend Ollie from preschool and his little sister Kambree were their to ride the rides with them. I think Trevor enjoyed catching up with their Dad, while they went on the rides. By the time we went to the rodeo we were all soaking wet, but the boys had fun watching the rodeo with their cousins. We made the most of it despite the weather and had a good time.

4th July weekend

For the 4th of July we took the boys to the parade in Moroni. I was really impressed with the parade the boys always had a huge pile of candy in front of them, they couldn't keep up with all the candy being thrown their way. They also got frisbees, wrist bands, and a water bottle. Korbin was entertained with everything go on around us. That afternoon we took the boys swimming to cool off. The boys always love it when Dad goes swimming with us. Kellen loved floating around the lazy river, he is getting pretty brave in the water. That night we took them to the fireworks. Kellen loved watching them, Karson like watching them as long as he was sitting on Dad's lap, and Korbin couldn't decide if he liked them or not. He would point at them and clap, but than he would hide his face when they got really loud. The boys were sure tuckered out from along day of fun. The boys and I slept in late the next morning while Trevor, Grandma, and Grandpa went up on the mountain to get things ready for Trevor's bear hunt this August. We met up right before lunch at the cabin and took the boys on a little horse ride to the gate, because I couldn't get the gate unlock to take our car to the cabin. It was Korbin's first horse ride and Kellen's first time riding a horse by himself. Karson was happy to ride with Grandma. Even when they got hailed on, on their way back to the cabin Kellen still wanted to ride after we had lunch. Kellen was pretty proud of himself for riding a horse by himself he had to tell everyone about it the next day. We sure love being up on the mountain.

Camping/Korbin 10 Months

We went camping by Potter's Ponds with my family. It is so beautiful on the mountain right now. I could literally stay up there all summer and not come home. I love watching the boys play with their cousins. They went exploring everywhere looking for bear tracks and deer tracks. They found this little meadow of pretty yellow flowers that they liked to play in. They would hide by laying down in the flowers. Another thing they found exploring was a sage hen in the trees. The kids through rocks at it and the hen flapped it's wings at them, it scared Karson and he wouldn't leave Trevor's side for a bit. Trevor made a yummy lunch for everyone Saturday afternoon and Shalee made a peach cobbler that was to die for (I am craving it just thinking about it). Trevor and I went on a four wheeler ride up above Potter's Ponds, I had never been up there it was really pretty and good to spend time with Trevor.

Korbin turned 10 months while we were out camping. He now waves and says "bye." He also likes to clap his hands and point at things. He is getting so close to walking. I don't want my baby to grow up, but it would be nice not having to walk him everywhere. I am in love with this boys crazy hair and it is a constant battle with his Dad to keep Korbin's hair long. He already is trying to follow his brother's everywhere and do what they do. Kellen and Karson are so good to play with Korbin, they are my big helpers. I love my boys.

Smores

The kids have fun roasting marshmallows and making smores at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Kellen's new favorite lately is roasting starbrusts.
