Labor day weekend

What a great Labor day weekend! Friday night we left the boys with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and headed up to the mountain to go hunting Saturday morning. We woke up bright and early and headed out on the horses with Tiff and Dal. It was so nice to go on a horse ride I really haven't been able to go as much as I would like this summer. We hiked all around and heard some bulls bugling and saw one bull laying down in the trees but that was it. I just enjoyed being up in the mountains hiking with Trev, he really doesn't like to hike unless he is hunting so I was glad I got to go with him.

Tiff and Dal riding up the mountain.

Trevor wondering where all the elk could be....

Hiking through the burn area. It had rained the day before so it was really muddy and slick!

Trev in the burn area. I thought it was really pretty to see the green plants come up through the black soil.

Tiffany was doing the elk archery hunt as well.

Trev and I....Trev with his elk call hanging out of his mouth.

Me on my horse. I love my horse she is just the right size for me!

The mighty hunter!

Grandma and Grandpa brought Kellen and Karson up to the mountain later. The boys loves being at the cabin.

Monday Trev was up on the mountain hunting and cutting wood. So Cassie and I took the kids to the fish hatchery. Kellen always loves to go to the fish hatchery! The last time we went to the fish hatchery Karson wouldn't let me put him down, but this time Karson was running all over the place! It sad for me to realize that my baby isn't very much of a baby any more....

Karson pointing at the fish. He loved it when the fish would jump and splash.

Kellen and his girls!

The kids checking out the fish. A fish actually jumped up and bit Shaelynn's finger right after we took this picture.

Kellen and Kaecee best buds!

I think they all had a fun time at the fish hatchery.
